FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. What is available on this site? On this site, you can view unconsolidated versions (“Annual Laws”) of most of Bermuda’s public Acts and Statutory Instruments from 1992 – present. This site also includes consolidated versions of Bermuda’s laws (“Consolidated Laws”).

3. What are the Consolidated Laws? The Consolidated Laws are the Acts and Statutory Instruments inclusive of any subsequent amending legislation up to the most recent consolidation (see Homepage for date of last consolidation).

4. What are the Annual Laws? The Annual Laws comprise all amending legislation and new legislation for each year. This legislation is as it was enacted – there have been no amendments made to the text.  Users should therefore verify for themselves whether legislation is in force or whether it has been amended or repealed by subsequent legislation. The Annual Laws have been included on the site to be used in conjunction with the Consolidated Laws while official consolidations are being prepared. It is our aim to post all Annual Laws within 7 days of assent from the Governor.

5. Why are there some Statutory Instruments missing from the Annual Laws? We are in the process of adding the Statutory Instruments to the database and these will be added to the site on an ongoing basis.  Please contact the Attorney-General’s Chambers for missing Statutory Instruments.
